Army Support Sought to Strengthen Federal Police, Train ASP’s

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: (Click Pakistan) The Federal Government has decided to seek the offerings of the Pakistan army to enhance the operational capability and training standards of the federal police, officials said on Tuesday.

According to official sources, the government has formally asked the services of two Pakistan army majors and sixteen special services group (SSG) commandos. The army officers will be appointed against vacant positions within the federal police framework.

As a part of the initiative, 10 SSG commandos might be deployed at the national Police Academy, in which they will assist in professional training and capacity-building programs. The commandos will play a key role in training under-training Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), that specialize in modern policing strategies, tactical response, and counterterrorism skills.

Officials said the decision aims to strengthen coordination between civilian law enforcement companies and the armed forces, while improving the federal police’s preparedness to handle evolving security challenges.

The move comes amid growing concerns over internal security and the need for advanced training of police officers. authorities believe that the involvement of highly trained SSG commandos will help enhance professional standards and enhance the effectiveness of federal law enforcement institutions.
