Australia Finalize T20 Squad for Pakistan Tour, Marsh to Lead

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

LAHORE, Pakistan (Yaseen Hashmi) — Australia on Monday announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Pakistan, with all-rounder Mitchell Marsh named as captain.

Cricket Australia confirmed that several senior players have been rested for the series, including fast bowlers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, along with batters Glenn Maxwell and Tim David. The board said some players have been granted additional recovery time following injuries and a demanding international schedule.

Five players who were part of Australia’s recent World Cup squad will not feature in the series. Cricket Australia stated the decision was taken to manage workloads and ensure full fitness ahead of future international commitments.

The squad includes Shane Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Mahli Beardman, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Jack Edwards and Cameron Green. Experienced campaigners Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mitch Owen, Josh Philippe, Matthew Renshaw, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa have also been named.

All three matches of the Pakistan-Australia T20I series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The matches are scheduled for Jan. 29, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
