Enhanced Patrols and Surveillance Ordered for Ramadan in Peshawar
Authorities in Peshawar have announced a comprehensive security strategy for the holy month of Ramadan to ensure public safety and smooth religious observances. The plan was finalized during a high-level meeting chaired by Dr. Mian Saeed, focusing on enhanced monitoring and rapid response measures.
According to officials, Peshawar Police has conducted detailed security audits of sensitive locations, including mosques and crowded commercial zones, to identify vulnerabilities. Special deployment strategies have been prepared to secure large congregations during iftar and Taraweeh prayers.
The security plan includes increased police patrolling across the city, particularly during peak evening hours. Authorities have also deployed women police officers to improve crowd management and ensure safety for female worshippers and shoppers during Ramadan activities.
Officials reiterated a strict zero-tolerance policy against aerial firing and illegal weapons, warning that violators will face immediate legal action. Police leadership emphasized that maintaining peace during Ramadan remains a top priority and urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure a secure and peaceful environment throughout the holy month.
