In Karachi, Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has achieved another major milestone in T20 cricket by setting a new world record.
Representing Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, Babar Azam became the fastest player to reach 12,000 T20 runs. He accomplished this feat during a match against Karachi Kings.
Babar reached the landmark in just 338 innings, surpassing the previous record held by former West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, who had achieved the milestone in 345 innings.
Other notable players, including Virat Kohli and David Warner, reached 12,000 T20 runs in 360 and 368 innings respectively.
It is worth noting that Babar Azam is now the 12th player in the world and only the second Pakistani, after Shoaib Malik, to achieve this remarkable milestone.
