Police in Badarshi, Nowshera, have arrested the leader of a three-member robbery gang involved in robbing a pizza delivery rider at gunpoint.
According to police officials, the victim, Rasool Khan, son of Sartaj Khan and a resident of Nowshera Kalan, reported that he was returning after delivering pizza in Madina Colony when three suspects on a motorcycle stopped him at gunpoint. The robbers snatched Rs15,000 in cash and his motorcycle before fleeing the scene.
Following the report, a case was registered against unidentified suspects and an investigation was launched.
District Police Officer Ahmed Shah assigned a special investigation team under the direct supervision of SDPO Cantt Circle Hafeez Yousafzai. The team included SHO Badarshi Niaz Muhammad Jadun and ASI/Investigation Officer Asad Jan.
Using modern investigative techniques, the police traced and arrested the gang leader, Taseer Shah, son of Zareen Shah, a resident of Landi Khel, Rashakai.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to the crime and revealed the names of his accomplices, which police have not disclosed yet. Authorities said further arrests are expected soon.
Police also recovered the stolen cash based on the suspect’s identification. The investigation is ongoing and more revelations are anticipated.
