Child Narrowly Escapes Tragedy After Falling Into Open Sewer in Sillanwali

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

SARGODHA: (Tahir Kamboh) A minor girl escaped a certain gruesome death when she fell in an open sewage drain in Benazir park in Sillanwali tehsil, officials and eyewitnesses said.

The accident took place close to a local shop at which the child was standing holding a glass object. The girl fell into the uncovered drain and witnesses claimed that her fall was due to the hand slipping.

Individuals on the scene responded promptly and were capable of retrieving the child in the drain within a few moments thus avoiding a possible death that could have occurred. According to locals, the girl did not have any severe injuries, and she was eventually transferred to her relatives.

This event raised an alarm among the local residents, who condemned the authorities on why they had not covered the open sewage drains in high-foot traffic places especially around parks and market places where children mostly congregate.

According to the residents, the locality surrounding Benazir Park is always full of people during the day and they were informed that one day such irresponsible attitude may cause serious accidents unless precautions are undertaken.

They called on the local government to observe immediate sealing off of open drainages and enhance safety facilities in the society so that preventable accidents would be avoided.

According to local officials, the issue was observed and guaranteed them that they would take action to resolve the problem and make sure that people were safe.
