Christina Applegate Reveals She Left Brad Pitt for Sebastian Bach at 1989 MTV VMAs

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Actress shares candid story about leaving Brad Pitt for Skid Row’s Sebastian Bach in her new memoir You With the Sad Eyes

Christina Applegate has confirmed a decades-old Hollywood rumor, revealing she left Brad Pitt for a rock star during the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.

In her newly released memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, the 54-year-old actress recalls attending the Los Angeles ceremony with Pitt, whom she described as a longtime “platonic pal.” At the time, Applegate was 17 and enjoying breakout fame from her hit sitcom Married… with Children, while Pitt had yet to achieve global stardom.

Applegate writes that she felt “incredible” and confident that night in a Ceil Chapman gown. By the end of the awards show, however, she made a spontaneous decision to leave with Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach instead.

“He wasn’t yet THE Brad Pitt,” Applegate notes, referencing his later rise to fame following 1991’s Thelma & Louise. According to the actress, Pitt ended up driving her mother and a friend home and was “very mad” afterward. The two reportedly did not speak for years.

Applegate previously hinted at the story during a 2015 television appearance but withheld the rock star’s identity until now. She clarifies the evening did not lead to a relationship.

The memoir also explores her childhood, abusive relationships, motherhood, and her health battles with breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.
