CTD Kills Three TTP Militants in Intelligence-Based Operation in DI Khan

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday killed three militants during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, officials said.

According to a CTD statement, the militants were affiliated with Fitna-al-Khawarij, a term used by the state for members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The operation was carried out on the directives of KP Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed following a surge in attacks on police personnel in the region.

Acting on verified intelligence, CTD teams raided a suspected militant hideout and cordoned off the area. The suspects opened fire to evade arrest, leading to a gun battle in which all three militants were killed. Their bodies were recovered during a subsequent search operation.

The CTD said the slain militants were involved in multiple attacks on police and security forces. Weapons recovered from the site included three Kalashnikov rifles, nine magazines, two hand grenades, and a large quantity of ammunition.

Senior police officials praised the CTD’s special weapons and tactics teams, reaffirming that targeted operations against militant networks would continue amid rising security challenges across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
