KOTLI: A 16-year-old student from Neelum Valley was found dead in Kotli, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The victim, Jawad Ahmad, a resident of Khawaja Seri, had enrolled on April 1 at a madrassa on Jail Road in Kotli. According to reports, he went missing on April 5, just four days after his admission.
Police officials confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Kotli police station. Initial investigations indicate that the teenager left the institution with two fellow students. Authorities have detained suspects for questioning as part of the ongoing probe.
