DI Khan:(Roshan Khan)- Police in Dera Ismail Khan have successfully traced a blind murder case involving the disappearance of a Chingchi rickshaw driver, though the victim’s body has yet to be recovered. The victim, identified as Ghulam Fareed Baloch, went missing on December 30, 2025.
According to police, a case under Section 365 PPC was registered at Cantt Police Station on January 6, 2026, after the victim’s father, Saifullah Baloch, reported that his son had left home with Rs40,000 to deposit a vehicle installment but never returned. His mobile phone was also switched off.
On the directions of DPO Dera Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, an investigation team led by DSP City Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan conducted raids and arrested the victim’s friend, Latif Wazir. During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he shot Ghulam Fareed following a monetary dispute near Nakhlistan Park and later threw the body into the Indus River near Dera-Darya Khan Bridge.
Police recovered the victim’s mobile phone and Chingchi rickshaw from the identified location. A search operation is ongoing to recover the body from the river.

Public and social circles have praised the police, including RPO Syed Ashfaq, DPO Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, DSP Hafiz Muhammad Adnan, and his team, for successfully tracing the blind murder case.
