Islamabad: Earthquake tremors measuring 6.1 in magnitude were felt across the federal capital Islamabad, Peshawar, and several other cities.
Residents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir reported feeling the tremors. Cities affected include Muzaffarabad, Skardu, Diamer, Rawalpindi, Murree, Taxila, and Hassan Abdal.
Other areas such as Lower Dir, Kohat, Swat, Sawabi, Shabqadar, and Parachinar also experienced shaking.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a depth of 190 kilometers, with its epicenter located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
The tremors prompted residents to leave their homes in alarm, reciting prayers as they evacuated.
