LAHORE: Multan Sultans pulled off a remarkable run chase to defeat Hyderabad Kingsmen in the eighth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 at Gaddafi Stadium. Chasing a daunting target of 226 runs, the Sultans reached the total with four wickets down and eight balls remaining, thanks to a century by Sahibzada Farhan.
The right-handed opener played a match-winning knock of 106 not out off 57 balls, smashing eight sixes and seven fours. He anchored the innings brilliantly and received solid support from Steve Smith, who scored 46, and Shan Masood, who added 29 runs. Farhan sealed the victory with an unbeaten 37-run partnership with Arafat Minhas, who contributed a quick 26 off 11 deliveries.
Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen posted a massive 225/5 after being put in to bat by their captain Marnus Labuschagne. Maaz Sadaqat led the charge with a blistering 62 off 26 balls, while Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten on 51. Saim Ayub also chipped in with 27 runs.
For Multan, Mohammad Wasim Jr picked up two wickets, while others chipped in with one each. The victory highlights Multan’s strong form, while Karachi Kings continue to lead the PSL 2026 standings after an impressive start to the tournament.
