26 CDA employees held by FIA for allegedly securing jobs through forged educational documents
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad has arrested 26 employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on charges of securing government jobs through fake degrees and school certificates.
The arrests followed the cancellation of pre-arrest bail by the learned court of SJC-II, Islamabad, in connection with FIR No. 109/2025 dated December 4, 2025. The accused, holding positions ranging from BPS-05 to BPS-14, allegedly submitted forged educational documents to obtain public posts, salaries, and other benefits unlawfully.
“These individuals obtained government employment fraudulently, violating multiple provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947,” FIA officials said.
Investigations are underway to scrutinize the involvement of recruitment committee members, verification authorities, and approving officers in facilitating these illegal appointments. Documentary evidence is being examined to determine the extent of complicity, if any.
The accused will be presented before the court tomorrow for further proceedings.
