A fire broke out in a warehouse in the busy Block No. 4 market area of Sargodha on Friday, triggering a major rescue operation and drawing a large crowd of shopkeepers and traders.
According to initial reports, the blaze started in a warehouse storing cosmetic products and button accessories, located on the top floor of a three-story building in the market. The area houses several storage facilities for cosmetics, clothing, and shoes, raising concerns about the fire spreading to nearby units.
Rescue officials responded quickly after receiving the alert and launched an operation to control the flames. At least five rescue vehicles were deployed to the scene as firefighters worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to surrounding shops.
Witnesses said thick smoke could be seen rising from the upper portion of the building, prompting shopkeepers and workers to gather in large numbers outside the market.
Rescue teams continue efforts to extinguish the blaze, while authorities are assessing the situation. No casualties have been reported so far, but officials say investigations will determine the cause of the fire once the operation is completed.
