The first round of US–Iran negotiations mediated by Pakistan has concluded in Islamabad after nearly 14 hours of talks. According to an Iranian government statement, technical teams are now exchanging written drafts, and despite some remaining differences, discussions will continue.
Iran confirmed that talks will resume on Sunday following a short break, based on mutual agreement and Pakistan’s proposal. Iranian media reported partial progress but emphasized the need for further technical-level discussions to finalize key issues.
Tehran also raised concerns over the situation in Lebanon, urging the US to ensure Israel fulfills ceasefire commitments, a matter discussed with Pakistani mediators.
