ISLAMABAD: (Yaseen Hashmi) A powerful explosion precipitated by means of a gas leak injured 5 people, such as women and children, after tearing through a house in Islamabad’s Shams Colony on Tuesday, rescue officers said.
According to authorities, the blast triggered a section of the house’s wall to collapse, trapping occupants under debris. most of the injured had been women and children, while the 5th victim was an adult male. Rescue officers said three of the injured were in critical condition and had been rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Emergency response teams reached the scene shortly after the explosion and began relief operations. Police cordoned off the area as residents gathered outside their houses, gripped by way of fear following the loud blast that echoed across the community.
Rescue officials stated preliminary findings indicate that the explosion was caused by accumulated gasoline in the residence, though the exact source of the leak has no longer yet been determined. authorities have released a proper research to evaluate whether negligence, defective pipelines or hazardous home equipment led to the incident.
Local residents reported smelling gasoline before the explosion but said no earlier caution became issued. officials entreated residents to regularly inspect fuel connections and straight away report leaks to avoid such incidents, particularly during winter whilst gasoline usage increases.
