ISLAMABAD Following the recent suicide bombing in Islamabad Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Polyclinic Hospital to review medical arrangements and assess the condition of the injured.
The attack which occurred during Friday prayers left several people wounded and caused shock across the capital. During his visit the minister met doctors nurses and hospital administrators to ensure that victims were receiving timely and effective treatment. Hospital officials informed him that at least 25 injured individuals were in critical condition and required intensive medical care.
Mustafa Kamal directed hospital teams to utilize all available resources for the treatment of the injured, stressing that no compromise should be made in providing the best possible medical support. He also expressed condolences to the families of those injured and reassured them of the government’s full support.
The minister praised medical staff for their swift response and dedication while handling a sudden influx of patients under pressure. Discussions were also held on improving emergency preparedness upgrading facilities and ensuring that healthcare workers have the necessary resources during crises.
The visit highlighted the government’s focus on strengthening emergency medical response and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting victims and frontline healthcare workers in times of national tragedy.
