Health Workers in Muzaffarabad Protest Over Pending Allowances

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Workers urge government to address allowances, risk benefits, and service upgrades before escalating strikes

Muzaffarabad: (Fawad Sadiq Abbasi) A large number of male and female health employees gathered in Muzaffarabad to stage a protest organized by the Health Employees Association, demanding fulfillment of long-standing demands. The demonstrators raised strong slogans against the government, expressing frustration over unresolved issues.

Protesters highlighted that their demands for health allowances, risk allowances, service upgrades, and other structural improvements remain unaddressed. They emphasized their role on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious disease outbreaks, noting that their rights and benefits have largely been overlooked.

Leaders of the association warned that if their demands are not immediately met, the protest could intensify, potentially leading to partial strikes in hospitals. The association held the government responsible for any disruptions to healthcare services.

Employees called on authorities to engage in serious negotiations to resolve the issues promptly, aiming to prevent further strain on the health system.
