ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that authorities have considered admitting the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf to a hospital for a medical check up.
According to the minister the founder’s cousin Qasim was initially suggested for consultation. However it was later decided that the founder himself would be admitted for a week which could be extended to two weeks if recommended by doctors.
Top level doctors have been assigned to oversee the treatment. Barrister Gohar was appointed as the founder’s legal representative in court but after waiting for an hour he declined the responsibility.
The founder underwent a medical examination at 3:30 PM after which doctors returned.
Speaking to the media, Mohsin Naqvi said he was addressing the recent political situation and clarifying circulating reports and misunderstandings over the past few days. He emphasized that the decision regarding hospital admission was taken to ensure proper care and assessment of the founder’s health.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and further updates on the founder’s medical condition may follow based on doctor recommendations.
