TEHRAN: Iran has announced a cash reward for information leading to the capture of a US pilot following the downing of an American fighter jet, according to reports citing Iranian state media.
Authorities said a reward of $66,100 will be given to any individual who captures the pilot alive. The incident involves a US F-15 fighter jet reportedly shot down over southern Iran amid escalating regional tensions.
However, officials from the United States stated that one crew member—the pilot—has already been rescued, while another remains missing. The missing individual is believed to be the weapons systems officer who was also onboard the aircraft at the time of the incident.
The development comes as hostilities between the US and Iran continue to intensify, with both sides exchanging claims over military actions and outcomes. Reports of the aircraft being shot down have further heightened tensions in the region, raising concerns about the safety of military personnel and the risk of broader conflict.
