Iran is considering withdrawing from the ceasefire agreement if Israel continues its military operations in Lebanon, according to a report by Tasnim News Agency.
Citing informed sources, the report states that Tehran is reviewing its position amid ongoing Israeli attacks, which it views as a violation of the ceasefire terms. Despite the agreement aimed at halting hostilities across multiple fronts, including operations against Hezbollah, Israel has reportedly carried out fresh strikes in Lebanon.
Sources claim that the two-week ceasefire plan, backed by the United States, included commitments to stop fighting on all fronts. However, Israel’s latest actions have raised tensions and cast doubt on the durability of the agreement.
The report further indicates that Iran is not only weighing withdrawal from the ceasefire but is also preparing potential responses. Iranian armed forces are said to be identifying targets in case of escalation, signaling the possibility of renewed conflict.
Additionally, sources warned that if the United States fails to restrain its regional ally, Iran may take independent action. The situation highlights the fragile nature of the ceasefire and the risk of broader regional escalation if violations continue.
