Islamabad Passport Office Closed from April 9 to April 11 Due to Local Holidays

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Online passport services will remain available despite temporary office closure in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has announced a temporary closure of the Regional Passport Office in Islamabad due to local holidays declared by district authorities.

According to the official notice, the passport office located within the jurisdiction of the Islamabad administration will remain closed from 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, until 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11. The closure affects all in-person services at the Regional Passport Office.

Officials clarified that the decision follows a notification issued by local authorities regarding public holidays in the federal capital. During this period, citizens will not be able to access on-site passport-related services.

However, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports confirmed that online passport services will remain fully operational. Applicants can continue to submit and track their passport applications through the official online portal without interruption.

The DGIP also advised citizens to plan their visits accordingly and use digital services to avoid inconvenience during the closure period.

For further assistance, the public can contact the DGIP helpline at 051-111-344-777.
