TEHRAN: The Israeli military carried out intense overnight attacks on Iran, targeting the residence of former Foreign Minister and Supreme Leader’s advisor Kamal Kharazi. Kharazi was injured in the strike, while his wife was killed. He has been hospitalized following the incident.
Israeli forces also targeted government infrastructure in Tehran. In response, Iran and Hezbollah launched missiles at Israel, damaging homes and vehicles across Tel Aviv and other areas. Six Israeli civilians were injured during panic as residents rushed to bunkers, and one person was killed. Some bunkers also sustained damage.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the United States is doubling its fleet of A-10 fighter jets in the Middle East, escalating military readiness in the region.
The Iranian Armed Forces spokesperson issued a stern warning, stating, “We have never bowed before the enemy; those who attack will face severe consequences.”
Iran confirmed receiving US messages through Pakistan and other intermediaries, signaling ongoing diplomatic communication amid rising tensions.
This attack comes amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of intensified operations against Iran in the coming weeks, aiming to achieve strategic objectives in the region.
