Khawaja Asif Condemns Iran Attacks, Urges Calm Across Pakistan

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday described the recent attacks on Iran as “extremely regrettable,” saying the incidents have caused deep sorrow among the Pakistani public and heightened regional anxiety.

In a statement posted on X, Asif reaffirmed Pakistan’s diplomatic and moral backing for Tehran, adding that Islamabad had also condemned the aggression at the United Nations. He said Pakistan’s position remains consistent in opposing violations of sovereignty and supporting regional peace.

Calling for restraint, the minister urged religious parties and citizens to remain calm during the sensitive period. While acknowledging public emotions, he stressed that any form of unrest or violence would only serve forces seeking instability within Pakistan.

“Peaceful protest is a democratic right, but lawlessness cannot be tolerated,” he said, emphasizing that national unity and stability must take precedence.

As tensions persist in the region, Pakistan reiterated its call for dialogue and de-escalation, maintaining that diplomacy remains the only sustainable path toward lasting peace.
