A key meeting was held under the chairmanship of Aziz Ullah Khan to discuss the establishment of a District Metered Area (DMA) in Khayaban e Sir Syed, Rawalpindi. The session included participation from representatives of K-Water, reflecting international collaboration in improving local water infrastructure.
During the meeting, officials agreed to install 404 water meters in the area by May 15 as part of the DMA project. These meters will play a crucial role in monitoring water consumption patterns and assessing terminal pressure at the consumer level. The initiative aims to ensure fair distribution of water minimize losses, and enhance overall service delivery.
The DMA system is considered a modern approach to water management, allowing authorities to detect leakages, control wastage and improve operational efficiency. By using accurate data WASA will be better equipped to address supply issues and maintain consistent pressure across the network.
WASA Rawalpindi reiterated its commitment to adopting advanced and sustainable solutions to upgrade the city’s water supply system ultimately facilitating residents with improved and reliable services.
