Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Khan Afridi announced that peaceful protests will continue outside KP House Islamabad until the government meets their demands regarding the treatment of Imran Khan.
Speaking to media from Peshawar Afridi said the primary demand is that Khan should receive medical care in a top hospital specifically Al Shifa Hospital under the supervision of his personal doctors and family members. He emphasized that protestors have remained peaceful and disciplined for the past four days managing the demonstrations themselves without causing any disruption.
Afridi warned that any attempts to exploit the protests for improper purposes would face lawful action. He criticized a recent self issued report stating that while Khan’s eye condition is reportedly improving the absence of his personal doctors and family has raised doubts and concerns.
The KP CM called on the current government to consider how such actions affect Pakistan’s broader political and social environment. He reiterated that the ongoing demonstrations are lawful disciplined and focused solely on ensuring proper medical care for the former Prime Minister highlighting the province’s commitment to peaceful advocacy.
