Authorities in Islamabad have announced that M-Tag registration will be extended to motorcycles starting February 20 at 10:00 am, as part of the second phase of the ongoing tagging campaign in the federal capital.
According to the administration, motorcycle owners will be able to obtain M-Tags from 13 designated locations across the city by presenting their original vehicle documents and national identity card.
Which Motorcycles Are Included?
The decision applies to all types of motorcycles, including regular bikes, heavy bikes, and those associated with ride-hailing services such as Bykea. Registration of online taxi and bike services is being conducted separately.
Progress So Far
Officials stated that more than 600,000 vehicles have already been issued M-Tags. The initiative aims to enhance urban security and ensure safer travel for residents.
Citizens have been urged to cooperate with the campaign to help establish a secure and organized traffic system in the capital.
