Motorway Police foil escape attempt, arrest woman smuggler and accomplice after high-speed chase
SARGODHA: Motorway Police have seized more than 21 kilograms of cocaine worth over Rs210 million in an operation near Sial Mor on the M-2 South, arresting two suspects including a woman.
According to Central Region spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, the action was carried out after officials signaled a vehicle to stop for a lane violation. The driver ignored the signal and attempted to flee but was intercepted after a brief chase.
Authorities recovered 40 packets of cocaine from the vehicle and arrested both occupants on the spot. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Sector Commander SSP Malik Zafar Iqbal, with officers including IP Sabt-e-Hasnain, Rana Haroon Iqbal, and Waqas taking part.
Officials said the seized narcotics have been handed over to the Counter Narcotics Force Punjab for further investigation. The international market value of the recovered cocaine exceeds Rs210 million.
Further investigations are underway to trace the network behind the smuggling attempt.
