NA-256 Khuzdar By-Election Set for April 5 After Akhtar Mengal Resigns

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Polling schedule issued after resignation of Akhtar Mengal vacates National Assembly seat

The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that polling for the by-election in NA-256 Khuzdar will take place on April 5 (Sunday), following the resignation of former lawmaker Akhtar Mengal.

According to the commission, the National Assembly seat fell vacant after Mengal stepped down, prompting the issuance of a detailed election schedule.

A preliminary list of nominated candidates will be displayed on February 25, while scrutiny of nomination papers will continue until March 4. Appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers may be filed by March 9. The commission will announce decisions on those appeals by March 16 and release a revised list of candidates the same day.

The final date for withdrawal of nomination papers is March 17. Electoral symbols will be allotted to contesting candidates on March 18, completing the pre-poll process ahead of voting in the Balochistan constituency.
