Nowshera Kalan Police Solve Merchant Murder, Arrest Family Feud Suspect

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

High-profile Kashti Pul murder solved by Nowshera Kalan Police; suspect confesses property feud motive

Nowshera Kalan: In a swift and successful operation, the Nowshera Kalan police have cracked the high-profile murder case of a local merchant, shedding light on a long-standing family feud.

On February 7, 2026, Shehzad, son of Shah Nawaz, reported to police that while returning home on a motorcycle with his brother Murad around 8:30 PM near Kashti Pul, an unknown assailant opened fire. Murad succumbed to his injuries, while Shehzad survived. Initial reports suggested a possible snatching attempt, which had sparked widespread protests on social media and among the merchant community.

Following the incident, District Police Chief Ahmed Shah assigned SDPO Jawad Khan and a dedicated team led by SHO Faisal Khan to investigate. After meticulous evidence collection and interrogation, investigators revealed that the murder stemmed from a property dispute within the family, not a robbery attempt.

The prime suspect, Amjad, son of Sajid, residing near Tehsil Road, Kashti Pul, was apprehended and confessed to the crime during interrogation. The investigation is ongoing to uncover further details.

SDPO Jawad Khan briefed that the police acted decisively to bring the perpetrator to justice, highlighting the professionalism and dedication of Nowshera Kalan’s law enforcement team.
