Authorities in Nowshera ensure safety and smooth operation for the four-day polio vaccination drive starting April 13.
NOWSHERA: Authorities in Nowshera District have completed full security arrangements for the four-day polio campaign starting April 13. Children under five will receive polio drops as part of this critical national initiative.
To protect vaccination teams, 1,262 police officers and personnel will accompany them in the field. District Police Chief Ahmed Shah held a key meeting at the New DPO Complex conference hall, chaired by SP Investigation Shah Asad Khan (PSP), with participation from SDPOs, SHOs, and investigative staff across the district.
SP Investigation emphasized that the polio campaign is a highly sensitive national duty requiring strict vigilance. Officers were instructed to perform duties professionally, with zero tolerance for negligence. All personnel must have complete protective gear, including helmets, bulletproof vests, weapons, and ammunition, and maintain constant alertness.
Each officer was advised to carry the sector commander’s mobile number for rapid response to emergencies. Security has been reinforced with checkpoints at entry and exit points and increased mobile patrolling. SDPOs and SHOs will oversee field operations directly to ensure smooth implementation.
SP Investigation concluded by reaffirming that the police force is committed to ensuring a peaceful and successful polio campaign, using professional diligence and coordination to protect both staff and children.
