Pakistan Calls for Restraint at UN Security Council Amid Iran-Israel Missile Escalation

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Islamabad presses for diplomacy and warns against actions threatening regional stability

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan condemned attacks on Iran and urged all parties to exercise restraint, warning that escalating hostilities in the Middle East risk undermining regional stability and ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Addressing an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Asim Iftikhar Ahmad expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation following reported missile exchanges between Iran and Israel.

He said the attack on Iran occurred while diplomatic channels were still active and appealed to all sides to demonstrate patience and avoid further escalation. Pakistan also condemned strikes affecting Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar, stressing that international law and the UN Charter must be upheld “at all costs.”

The envoy further denounced the killing of a Pakistani national in the UAE, reportedly caused by falling debris linked to a missile strike. “Pakistan also condemns the unfortunate death of a Pakistani national in the UAE during this dastardly attack,” he said.

Iftikhar voiced appreciation for Oman’s mediation efforts in U.S.-Iran talks and urged all parties to refrain from actions that could compromise the security and territorial integrity of countries across the region.
