Pakistan Eliminated from ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Semifinal Race

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The Pakistan cricket team has been eliminated from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semifinal race following a decisive match against Sri Lanka cricket team in Kandy.

Sri Lankan captain won the toss and elected to field, giving Pakistan the chance to bat first. The Green Shirts posted a total of 212 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs thanks to explosive innings from Sahibzada Farhan who scored 100  and Fakhar Zaman, who added 84. The pair shared a record 176 run partnership but no other Pakistani batsman reached double figures.

To qualify for the semifinals Pakistan needed to bowl Sri Lanka out for 147 runs or fewer. However, the bowling attack could not restrict the hosts, allowing them to surpass the target and eliminate Pakistan from contention.

With Pakistan out New Zealand cricket team advanced to the semifinals based on three points and a superior net run rate. England cricket team had already secured a place in the semifinals from Group 2.

Despite heroic performances by Farhan and Zaman Pakistan’s campaign ended prematurely, highlighting the challenges of sustaining team consistency in high stakes T20 World Cup matches.
