RIYADH: A squadron of Pakistan Air Force fighter jets has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia under a Joint Strategic Defense Agreement between the two countries, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said on Saturday.
In a statement posted on X, the ministry confirmed the arrival of a Pakistani military contingent, which includes fighter jets and support aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force. The deployment is aimed at enhancing military coordination and operational integration between the armed forces of both nations.
Officials said the move forms part of broader efforts by Riyadh and Islamabad to strengthen combat readiness and expand joint defense capabilities through shared training programs, operational cooperation, and coordinated exercises.
The Saudi Ministry of Defense emphasized that the initiative contributes to regional and international security and stability. It also reflects the depth of longstanding strategic relations and ongoing defense collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
