Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts Lead to Iran-US Ceasefire, Government Declares National Day of Thanksgiving
Islamabad: The federal cabinet on Friday officially approved the proposed Islamabad-brokered ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States. Recognizing the historic significance of the initiative, the government also announced that Friday will be observed as a Day of Thanksgiving.
According to sources, the cabinet emphasized Pakistan’s diplomatic role in promoting regional peace. The Foreign Minister highlighted that under the agreement, both countries will maintain close communication and take immediate steps to reduce tensions.
The government stated that special programs will be organized at both public and official levels to celebrate this diplomatic achievement and efforts toward lasting peace.
This agreement marks a milestone in Pakistan’s foreign policy, with instructions given to all relevant institutions to support and promote peace and cooperation in the region.
