MULTAN: In a remarkable display of love and sacrifice, a young Pakistani man from Multan donated part of his liver to save his wife’s life, inspiring millions across the country.
The husband, Shabeer, recounted the emotional journey on social media. “It was the only way to save her life—to donate my liver to her. I went to Dr. Affan Qaiser’s Liver Tower in Multan, and he told me her liver had failed: either she would die, or she needed a liver transplant. I decided on the spot to save her,” Shabeer said.
The 16-hour operation involved transplanting half of Shabeer’s liver into his wife, Shinza, and was successfully completed. “Alhamdulillah, the operation was a success,” he added.
The story quickly went viral, with fans praising Shabeer’s courage and devotion. One social media user wrote, “This is a true story. Shinza is my niece. Shabeer is a good person. Please pray for them. May Allah bless them both. Ameen.” Others shared similar experiences of family members undergoing liver transplants and expressed admiration for the couple.
The story has sparked conversations about love, sacrifice, and the extraordinary measures people take for their loved ones, capturing hearts nationwide.
