The Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed, Capital City Police Officer of Peshawar, visited Lady Reading Hospital and the crime scene on Warsak Road following a bank robbery attempt that was foiled by police.
According to police officials, the robbery attempt was thwarted after police personnel responded promptly and bravely confronted the suspects. During the encounter, police officers showed exceptional courage and prevented the suspects from escaping with the money.
Due to the swift action by the police, the suspects failed to carry out the robbery and fled the scene, leaving behind their motorcycle and weapons.
During his visit to Lady Reading Hospital, CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed inquired about the health of the injured police officers and praised their bravery, dedication and sense of duty.
Later, he also visited the crime scene on Warsak Road where he reviewed the available evidence in detail. Senior police officials including the SSP Operations, SSP Investigation and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
The CCPO directed authorities to utilize all available resources to trace and arrest the suspects involved in the incident as soon as possible.
Police officials stated that the officers showed an extremely courageous response and successfully foiled the attempted robbery.
