PM Orders Construction of World-Class Convention Center in Capital

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: (Yaseen Hashmi) Pakistan has resolved to set up a new international standard convention center in the Federal Capital on the orders of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as the government embarks on consolidating the city of Islamabad to host the major world events.

The Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, on Tuesday made a visit to the proposed site near the Murree road Bharakhu Bypass and reviewed initial arrangements and gave on the spot instructions to expedite the project.

Mohsin Naqvi gave orders that all the unlawful connections should be cleared off the specified land immediately, and that no concessions or compensation will be given to the occupants. He instructed the authorities to initiate indiscriminate law against the encroachers and bring down all illegal constructions promptly.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the government has made priority on the provision of international-standard facilities in Islamabad during the visit. He also stated that the new convention center would greatly increase Pakistan in hosting high profile international conferences such as future Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summits and other international forums.

According to the officials, the goal of the project is to develop the infrastructure of the capital, as well as to make a good impression about Pakistan at the international scale.

The interior minister was accompanied by Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon and other senior officials on the site inspection.
