Police Clear 90% of Katcha Area in Ongoing Anti-Dacoit Operation

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The District Police Officer (DPO) of Rahim Yar Khan has claimed that 90 percent of the Katcha area has been cleared during ongoing police operations against criminal gangs.

According to DPO Irfan Samo, a coordinated operation is underway in the Katcha regions of both Punjab and Sindh, targeting dacoits and criminal networks. He said police are making steady progress in dismantling their strongholds.

DPO Samo stated that drone surveillance and strikes were used during the operation, resulting in the destruction of underground bunkers and at least 33 hideouts belonging to the dacoits.

Meanwhile, the DPO of Rajanpur reported that eight most-wanted dacoits were killed during separate encounters with police forces.

Officials said that police check posts are now being established in previously declared no-go areas to ensure lasting security. They added that once these areas are fully cleared, the government plans to set up schools and hospitals to facilitate rehabilitation and improve living conditions for local residents.

Authorities emphasized that the operation aims not only to eliminate criminal elements but also to restore peace, law and order, and basic public services in the affected regions.
