Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are expected to increase by Rs30 to Rs50 per liter according to government sources.

The situation was reviewed during a high level meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The meeting focused on the current petroleum reserves in the country and the recent surge in global oil prices.

Officials from the Ministry of Petroleum presented recommendations regarding possible adjustments to fuel prices. The meeting was attended by the federal ministers for finance petroleum and commerce, along with other senior government officials.

During the session, representatives from Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Pak Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) and other departments provided detailed briefings on the country’s existing fuel reserves and supply situation.

Sources indicated that the potential increase is being considered due to the uncertain geopolitical environment in the Middle East and rising international oil prices.

If approved, the revised petroleum prices are expected to come into effect from midnight tonight, which could significantly impact transportation and overall living costs across the country. The government is expected to announce the final decision after reviewing all recommendations and market conditions.
