ISLAMABAD: (Yaseen Hashmi) President of Pakistan has summoned a joint session of Parliament to be held on Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m., according to a statement issued by the President’s Secretariat.

The announcement was made by the Presidency’s media wing, which said the joint sitting has been convened under the constitution. members of each the national assembly and the Senate will attend the session.

Officials stated the session is expected to take up important national and parliamentary matters, though specific agenda items have not yet been disclosed. The Presidency said details of the agenda could be shared at a later stage.

A joint session of Parliament is typically called to address key legislative business, national policy issues or matters of constitutional importance. Such sessions allow lawmakers from both houses to planned together on troubles affecting governance and public interest.
