PTI founder’s sister Uzma Khan approaches Islamabad High Court seeking medical access and treatment

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Uzma Khan, sister of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), appeared before the Islamabad High Court regarding her petition seeking medical examination and treatment access for the PTI founder.

Uzma Khan, accompanied by her lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, completed biometric verification at the court. She had filed the petition a day earlier requesting that the PTI founder be shifted to a hospital for medical treatment and that family members be granted access during his examination and care.

In her application, the petitioner requested that timely and immediate information regarding the health condition of the PTI founder be provided to the family. She also asked the court to arrange a medical examination by doctors of his choice.

The petition further requested that doctors including Dr. Khurram Mirza, Dr. Asim Yusuf, Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Samina Niazi be included in the medical examination team.

Uzma Khan also urged the court to order blood tests for the PTI founder and requested that he be transferred to Shifa International Hospital for treatment.

The petition additionally requested that doctors, family members and lawyers be provided continuous access to the PTI founder during his detention and medical treatment. It also sought the release of his complete medical records, including blood tests, eye tests and diagnostic reports from the past three months.
