Pakistan delivered an impressive batting performance against Australia in the second T20 International, posting a commanding total of 198 runs for the loss of five wickets after opting to bat first.
The highlight of Pakistan’s innings was a brilliant knock by captain Salman Ali Agha, who dominated the Australian bowling attack with aggressive stroke play. He scored 76 runs off just 40 deliveries at a strike rate of 190, completing his half-century in only 25 balls. His innings included four sixes and eight boundaries, providing Pakistan with a strong foundation for a big total.
After Agha’s dismissal, Usman Khan played a composed yet attacking innings, scoring 56 runs from 36 balls before getting out in the final over. Although opener Sahibzada Farhan was unable to make a significant contribution, Pakistan’s middle order maintained the momentum and kept the scoring rate high.
Pakistan adopted an aggressive approach from the outset and reached 100 runs within the first 10 overs. Consistent partnerships in the middle overs ensured stability and helped the team push the total close to the 200-run mark.
Pakistan had earlier won the first T20 International by 22 runs, giving them an early advantage in the series.
