Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s emotional tribute to legendary screenwriter Saleem Khan has resurfaced online following reports of the veteran writer’s recent health scare.
According to media reports Saleem Khan father of actor Salman Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai after suffering a minor brain hemorrhage. The 90 year-old writer was shifted to the intensive care unit and placed on ventilator support. Doctors confirmed that his condition is stable and improving.
Pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar stated that the hemorrhage was minor and a small medical procedure was successfully performed. However due to his age recovery may take time. Family members including Salman Khan and other close relatives, have remained by his side.
Amid concerns over Saleem Khan’s health, a past interview of Shah Rukh Khan went viral. In the clip Shah Rukh expressed deep gratitude saying If I am Shah Rukh Khan today it is because of Salim Khan.He recalled his struggling days in Mumbai revealing that he often shared meals at Salman Khan’s home, where Salim Khan offered encouragement and guidance.
Fans have widely shared the video, praising the bond and respect between Bollywood’s biggest stars and the iconic writer.
