The government of Sindh has announced a public holiday across the province on April 4 in observance of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
According to an official notification issued by the Sindh government, all public offices, educational institutions, and many private establishments will remain closed on Saturday, April 4. The holiday is being observed to mark the 47th death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a key political figure in Pakistan’s history and the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Each year, April 4 is commemorated with various events, gatherings, and tributes across the country, particularly in Sindh, where Bhutto’s political legacy remains especially influential. Party workers and supporters organize memorial ceremonies to honor his contributions to the nation.
The announcement ensures that citizens can participate in these commemorative activities without routine work obligations. Security arrangements are also expected to be heightened in major cities, including Karachi, where large gatherings are anticipated.
The provincial government reaffirmed its commitment to honoring national leaders and preserving historical remembrance through official observances such as this annual public holiday.
