Karachi: The government of Sindh has announced the early release of March salaries allowances and pensions for Muslim government employees and pensioners in order to provide financial relief ahead of Eid ul Fitr.
According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Finance Department, payments that are normally made on April 1 will instead be disbursed on March 16, 2026. The decision applies to all Muslim employees working under the provincial government, including those employed under work-charged and contingent paid establishments.
Officials said the move is intended to help families prepare for Eid celebrations and manage their expenses in advance. Eid ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is expected to fall on March 20 or March 21, depending on the sighting of the Shawwal moon.
The provincial government stated that employees will receive their full salaries, allowances, and pensions for March through the early disbursement.
Authorities emphasized that the step reflects the government’s commitment to supporting its workforce during important religious occasions. By releasing funds ahead of time, officials believe employees and pensioners will be able to plan their Eid-related expenses more comfortably and celebrate the festival without financial stress.
