US President Donald Trump has acknowledged concerns over the upcoming midterm elections, admitting that a potential defeat could have serious consequences for the future of the United States. Speaking at an event in Iowa, Trump said that losing the midterm polls would mean America stands to lose “a great deal,” signaling the high political stakes attached to the elections.
The president announced the formal launch of his midterm election campaign, expressing confidence that his administration’s performance would secure victory. Trump sharply criticized former president Joe Biden’s tenure, claiming the country had faced record inflation just a year ago but was now gradually moving toward economic stability.
Highlighting economic achievements, Trump asserted that the United States attracted only $1 trillion in investment during Biden’s four-year term, whereas under his leadership, investment surged to $18 trillion within a single year. He also stated that his government delivered the largest tax relief package in American history, alongside efforts to curb inflation.
Trump emphasized that countries including Japan, the United Kingdom, and Australia are making historic investments in the US, reinforcing America’s position as a safe destination for global investors. Reiterating his tough stance on immigration, he said US borders had been fully sealed against illegal migrants.
On foreign policy, Trump revealed that a US naval fleet was advancing toward Iran and claimed Iran’s nuclear capability had been neutralized earlier, expressing hope for a future agreement between Washington and Tehran.
