U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is seeking talks but insisted that it is too late. In a statement posted on social media Trump said Iran’s air defense systems air force navy and leadership structure had been effectively dismantled during ongoing military operations.
He further described the current military campaign as only the beginning warning that a big wave of action is still to come. According to Trump 49 Iranian leaders were killed in the strikes. U.S. media outlets have reported that the administration is attempting to eliminate Iran’s leadership but lacks a clear post-conflict strategy.
The escalation follows surprise strikes carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran. Reports indicate that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the attacks. The total death toll in Iran has reportedly surpassed 750 people so far.
The situation has significantly heightened tensions across the Middle East raising fears of a prolonged and wider regional conflict. International observers are closely monitoring developments as global leaders call for restraint amid growing instability.
