Law enforcement officials detain two suspects accused of misleading people through fake female social media profiles
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Law enforcement authorities have arrested two individuals accused of creating fake social media accounts using female identities to deceive and manipulate people online.
According to official sources, the suspects allegedly operated accounts under the names “NakhreBaaz_Queen” and “Patakha_Girl.” Through these profiles, they reportedly shared videos and messages to mislead users and exploit their emotions.
The arrests were made after multiple complaints were received from citizens who suspected the accounts were fraudulent. Authorities launched an investigation and eventually traced the activity back to two young men.
Sources say the suspects are reportedly students of a local educational institution and had allegedly been involved in such activities for a considerable period. Both individuals are currently in custody while further investigations continue.
Local residents say the misuse of fake social media profiles has become a growing concern, warning that such tactics are increasingly being used to deceive people and manipulate online interactions.
Officials have reiterated that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in creating fake identities or using social media platforms to defraud or mislead the public. Authorities urged citizens to remain cautious online and report suspicious accounts to relevant agencies.
Law enforcement agencies emphasized that the crackdown against fake social media IDs will continue, and those responsible will face legal consequences under the law.
