USA’s Mohammad Mohsin Says Pressure on Pakistan Ahead of T20 World Cup Clash

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

USA leg spinner Mohammad Mohsin said on Monday that Pakistan will face added pressure when the two teams meet in their T20 World Cup Group A clash in Colombo on Tuesday recalling the Americans shock victory over the former champions two years ago.

Mohsin who was born and raised in Pakistan before migrating to the United States five years ago believes the USA team has improved significantly since their historic super over win against Pakistan at the 2024 T20 World Cup in Dallas.

The pressure of losing the last game will be on Pakistan Mohsin said adding that the USA are now a more skilled and confident side. He also revealed that his familiarity with the Pakistani players has helped him provide valuable insights to his team.

The USA nearly caused another upset in their opening match of the tournament reducing India to 77/6 in Mumbai before eventually losing by 29 runs. Mohsin claimed a wicket on his T20 World Cup debut in that match.

Meanwhile Pakistan fast bowler Salman Mirza dismissed any psychological impact of the previous defeat insisting it was firmly in the past. Winning and losing are part of the game Mirza said.

Pakistan narrowly avoided an upset against the Netherlands in their opening match with Faheem Ashraf’s late hitting securing a tense victory. With qualification for the Super Eight stage at stake Pakistan cannot afford further slip ups as Mirza warned that no team can be taken lightly in the T20 format.
